Where would Zadorov fit?

As I'm sure most of you are well aware, it's been rumoured for a while now that the Leafs and Flames have been discussing a potential trade for blueliner Nikita Zadorov (and potentially Chris Tanev or even Noah Hanifin but for the sake of this blog post, let's stick with Zadorov).
If the Leafs were to pull the trigger, where would he fit? He's listed at 6-foot-6 and 248 pounds (Flames website) and he's known for his thunderous hits/providing a physical presence. However, the hulking blueliner has never really established himself as a top four D-man, so to expect him to immediately fill a top four role with the Leafs right out of the gate would be a stretch. However, he's only 28 years old and you wonder if he's ready to assume a larger role? His presence alone would be a welcome addition.
With that being said, it would be hard pressed to imagine 40-year-old Mark Giordano continuing to log big minutes. Something's gotta give here, especially with what's going on with John Klingberg's injury concerns. Also, it's expected Conor Timmins will be returning soon as well.
Potential D-core with Zadorov/Timmins:
Rielly - Brodie
Zadorov - McCabe
Giordano - Timmins
Lagesson
When Lily returns:
Rielly - Brodie
Zadorov - Liljegren
Giordano - McCabe
Timmins
